The Baron had brought bad news on what I thought was a standard visit.
The King wants someone to lead retaliatory raids into Attid, striking at military targets. Baron François explains that the purpose is not only to reduce their ability to raid Kirkluk but to also act as a deterrence to raids in the future.
In our first major action, we manage to free hundreds of slaves. These however can’t move fast and in desperation, I split my force. This allows me to set a trap, resulting in us wiping out a local Attid force, sent to recover the slaves.
Recovering back in Kirkluk, we discover that the materials captured in Attid, include a massive haul of gold and jewellery.
Returning to Attid, my Guild is not as successful. The local Commander had set a trap and and explains how gifting his King a present, my head on a silver platter, will further his career.
